Help Needed With Research

Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a 3rd year Trainee Clinical Psychologist currently studying at Lancaster University in the UK.
My thesis research is looking at the effect of self-compassion on feelings of shame and internalised stigma, as well as psychological wellbeing and adjustment to diagnosis in people living with HIV.
We know from previous research that self-compassion may help in tackling feelings of shame and internalised stigma, but this has not been well researched in people living with HIV.
My study aims to deepen our understanding of the links between self-compassion, shame and internalised stigma specifically in people living with HIV to add to this knowledge base in the hopes of informing future mental health support.
We are looking for participants who have a diagnosis of HIV, are over 18 years of age, and who feel comfortable reading and answering questions in English. If you meet these criteria and would be interested in participating in this research, please scan the QR code on the poster displayed, or click the link below, which will take you to the study website. Please ensure that you read the participant information sheet (the first page you will be taken to) carefully to ensure that you would like to participate, as this contains important information regarding some of the language used in the questionnaire.

If you would like any further information, please don't hesitate to email me on s.rafferty@lancaster.ac.uk
