HIV exposure

Hello. I had a massage from a sex worker who was nude and she sat on my stomach while she was rubbing my chest.
My chest has some scratches perhaps related to hair follicles loss.
Could this create an exposure of vaginal fluid coming into contact with unbroken skin ? Am I at risk ?

  1. Hi . I can feel your anxiety and it is good that you are seeking out proper information. I do need to tell you that we are not medical professionals and, for your protection, cannot provide medical advice over the internet. That said, I do want to share with you this article that discusses HIV transmission risks: https://h-i-v.net/transmission-risks. You will note that there isn't even a category that quite fits your circumstance, although there is a note about the fact that individual circumstances, such as open sores can increase risk. There is no mention of unbroken skin. Of course, the only way to be sure is through testing (see this article on types of tests and window periods: https://h-i-v.net/test-types), which is why the CDC recommends regular STI testing be part of standard healthcare. Hope this information is helpful. Best, Richard (Team Member)
