Window Period: Is My HIV Test Conclusive?

3 months and 10 months 4th generation HIV test was negative.
Is that conclusive?

Are you able to talk with the clinic or doctor who ordered the test? Window periods can vary, and they would be the most knowledgeable on the specific test used in your situation. According to most of the literature, the window period is maximum 6 months. However when one listens of delayed seroconversion or false negative- it’s worrying.I hear you, robindra, and I think your concerns are totally valid. If you feel you are at risk and are concerned about false negatives, it's never a bad idea to get another test or to have further conversations with your doctor. , I also want to bring to your attention, PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis) which is a tool which can used with a few days after having unprotected sex. I am not sure if you are aware of this prevention tool and how to access it in your local community. Khafre (Team Member)
