Let's Talk About Anal Cancer

There is an increased incidence of anal cancer in people who live with HIV, which is why we should have an anal pap screening. I myself have had 2 screenings and was in shock when my provider told me that people who are living with HIV must have it done annually.1

Anal cancer and HIV

I did some research into it and found out that this was in fact true. We are at higher risk of contracting anal cancer and it is especially important for us to all be screened for it routinely.1
