How conclusive is AG/AB Evoli 4th Gen HIV test after 24 days?

Hey,
I had a fling with this girl I have never met before on 3rd of August, along the line my condom broke I noticed 1/2 min after and changed the condom. Three days after I was diagnosed with STI (Gonorrhea), I received my treatment and everything was normal until after 15 days I started having this mild headache and muscle sore around my shoulder region. I went in for HIV test (Ab/Ag p24 Elisa 4th Gen) on the 27th result came out negative. I have been having this mild headache since on the 18th of August (now more than a month), it doesn't disturb me from my daily activities but I know the headache is there. I have taken some OTC pain relief but it just won't go away. So I went to my doctor and he advised that I do MRI scan of my head to properly diagnose the problem. My question is, do I need to go in for another HIV test? And is persistent mild headache one of the symptoms of HIV?

  1. Hi , thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry about your persistent headache. That is so frustrating! I can understand why this might be concerning, as flu-like symptoms, including headache, are sometimes cited as early HIV symptoms. However, each person's experience with HIV can be incredibly different, so it's hard to determine by general symptoms alone. I'm glad you've been checking in with your doctor on this though. We always recommend following the advice of your healthcare provider for best next steps.
