Medication dosing / adherence

I have due to access to medication had to be taking 200mg Lamivudine 200mg Tenofovir Disproxil and 35g Dolutegravir for a month to avoid running out of medication / skipping a dose. I am planning a check up on VL and CD4 asap but wondering what to expect… I had to do the same thing once before a long time ago with Atripla and was lucky. But I saw that Dolutegravir 50mg Lamivudine 300mg is a full treatment on its own without the Tenofovir Disproxil which I never knew, so I am hoping I will be lucky / alright again?

  1. I am glad you reached out and I hope others with experience taking these medications can chime in about their personal experiences. We are not medical professionals and can't advise you about your medication, but I hope we can point you toward useful information.

While we can't determine how effective the adjustments you've had to make to your treatment have been, I do have one article on the combination of Dolutegravir and Lamivudine you mention - https://h-i-v.net/treatment/dovato Maybe reading about this will help you in your conversation with your doctor. When are you going to get your viral load and CD4 checked next? - Liz (Team Member)
