Took Paxlovid (contains Ritonavir) and had serious side effects I think
I don't have HIV but I had Covid and was taking Paxlovid which contains the HIV drug Ritonavir (Norvir, Kaletra etc). For just under it 5 days I experienced an enlargement of my prostate and I think that I damaged my androgen receptors quite a bit with it, meaning that I did not respond to testosterone as well as before.
Now I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced these side effects like me and if it stopped after a while after you stopped taking it? What is the best way to overcome it? It really gave me decreased libido, mood swings and ED sometimes.
I am sorry to hear you are dealing with these symptoms. Some folks living with HIV are prescribed Ritonavir in combination with protease inhibitors.
