Why higher dose of Prep
Hi, I am male. If Descovy with tenofovir alafenamide of 25 mg is FDA approved and working fine as Prep then why we are still prescribed and taking 300 mg of Tenofovir?
Is tablet of emtricitabine 200 mg and tenofovir alafenamide 25 mg enough as on demand prep?

I'm a male and mostly involve in sexual activity (vaginal) with different female through hookup at different time. These girls might also involve with different male in different time.
So I was thinking that is Prep with emtricitabine 200 mg and tenofovir alafenamide 25 mg composition is enough as on-demand prep or daily prep.Thanks for detailed information and links.

So this is what understood "descovy is not okay as OnDemand Prep or Daily Prep for male involved in vaginal sex with female." Am I write?

. My understanding of the full quote on Descovy is that it is only approved for daily prep and that the results for the study of on-demand prep did not apply to Descovy.
