Chances of infection from frottage

Hey guys,
Please help a worried fellow here.
I had an exposure a month ago when I rubbed the tip of my penis on the labia, clitoris area and around the vagina edges of a woman whose status I did not know. There was no none protected penetration as I wore a condom for that.
Four weeks later, I got headaches, bodyaches and diarrhoea. I have not had any visible swellings or fever or rash or sore throat, but the aches, headaches and diarrhoea, though intermittent, remain now into five days.
I took a rapid hiv blood test at 31 days and it was still negative.
Is this something you have seen result in a positive result?

  1. Hi . I can tell you are concerned and it is good that you are seeking out a place you get information. I need to note that we are not medical professionals and, for your protection cannot give medical advice or provide diagnostics. I do want to share with you this article from our editorial team on transmission risks: https://h-i-v.net/transmission-risks. You will not that non-insertive contact isn't even listed and insertive vaginal penetration estimated risk is 0.04%. These are percentages and, of course, individual circumstances can differ, such as reduced risk due to condom usage. It is also important to note that, while you are experiencing some symptoms that may occur with seroconversion, you are not experiencing others and many thing can cause the symptoms you are experiencing (see: https://h-i-v.net/symptoms/early-stage). It is also a good sign that you took a test that came back negative. Testing is the only way to be sure, which is why the CDC recommends regular testing be part of overall sexual health maintenance. Here is an article on the various types of tests, with information on the window periods for accuracy: https://h-i-v.net/test-types. Hope this information is helpful and wishing you the best. 1. I am very very thankful for your response.

My days are sad and filled with anxiety but this platform offers important psychological release for me.

I feel awful because I made efforts to stay protected, ensuring that I wore a condom before penetration. Perhaps I pressed on the vagina edges too hard or for so long long (perhaps as long as two minutes) and the fluids entered my urethra. I am especially worried about the diarrhea, as it seems unexplainable other than as an early infection symptom.

Thank you for the sources. I took a 4th generation test today, testing for both Ag and Ab, and it was negative. I will test at 6 weeks and later as the guidance provided. Thank you for maintaining this platform.
