For those of us with busy lives, breakfast - while the most important meal of the day - can be difficult to make time for.

By prepping this bite-sized breakfast and storing it in the fridge, it’s easy to ensure you get your breakfast in, even on the go.

Oat breakfast bites recipe ingredients

  • 2/3 cup almond butter (or nut-free alternative)
  • 1/4 cup of sugar-free syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 medium bananas, mashed
  • 1.5 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup of protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Cooking instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 320 degrees Farhenheit and line a baking tin with parchment paper.
  2. Mix almond butter, syrup, eggs and bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir through oats, protein powder and baking powder, adding a little water if mixture is too dry.
  4. Place mixture in baking tin, smooth over the top and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until edges are golden.
  5. Cool in tin before cutting into bite-sized pieces. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
