Hiv / std RASH

Hi,

After 3 weeks of protected exposure, i developed this rash on my left side of neck, sometimes itchy, gone in two weeks.

Then I noticed the presence of very small red bumps on my arms.

I had flu and headache and sore throat for a short period of time, that was 3 days of exposure, no fever no vomiting no night sweats no glands swelling.

I did a duo tests on day 6, and day 15 after exposure both came negative, but there a little presence of antibodies/ antigens (0.07 s/co) the norm is <0.25.

I'm so worried thats it HIV.
Please someone tells me what she/he thinks about this.

Is the rash typical to hiv?Rash on the neck

  1. I am glad you reached out because I am sure it has been stressful tackling these questions. We are not medical professionals and cannot advise you about rash you posted, but I can give you some information that may be useful as you make decisions in the coming weeks. As I understand it, you're looking for information about a protected exposure. If the person has a detectable viral load (people living with HIV can reach an undetectable viral load with medication, and therefore not transmit HIV sexually) and you used a condom, condoms are thought to be 80% preventative - more info here - https://h-i-v.net/risk-reduction. How were you protected?
