Has anyone else out there experienced a situation like this, and able to offer some support?
HIV can be transmitted through five bodily fluids including breast milk, blood, precum, semen, and vaginal secretions. It cannot be transmitted through saliva, and in the case of transmission through oral sex, the risk is at the lower end of the spectrum compared to unprotected vaginal or anal sex. That being said, testing for HIV and other STDs should be a part of anyone's regular health care. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States encourages all individuals between the ages of 13 and 64 to have at least one HIV test as part of their normal care.
