I'm sorry you are feeling this way. You don't have to keep it all to yourself. This community is here, and there are people who understand what it's like to navigate life with HIV. What has been weighing on you the most lately? -Kimberli (Team Member)

The pressure to not be alone. Finding it difficult to be around people, and make friends now.

I can understand how that can make everything feel so much heavier. I hope you know you can take it at your own pace, and that connection doesn't have to look the same for everyone. When you're ready to be around others, I truly believe you'll find your people. There's no timeline for that and you don't have to force it before you're ready. Maybe when you do feel ready, starting slowly with connections through social media/virtually could feel a little more manageable. I am so glad you shared this with us and want to remind you, you are not alone here in the community. Sending gentle hugs. -Kimberli (Team Member)

Hi . I know it is easy to say, but you do you. Our contributor Zora wrote here about becoming comfortable in her own skin: https://h-i-v.net/living/positive-self-affirmations. You don't have to adhere to anyone else's pressure about what life should look like. When you are ready to engage, think of the things that bring you joy and try to find a way to weave that into new interactions. I suggest this simply to keep things on your own terms. Please know that this community is here for you. Best, Richard (Team Member)
