  1. Hi . I can tell that you are anxious. First, I need to tell you that we are not medical professionals and, for your safety, cannot offer medical or diagnostic advice. That said, I want to share with you this article from our editorial team on differences in HIV transmission risk: https://h-i-v.net/transmission-risks. You will note that the estimated risk for insertive penile-vaginal intercourse is 0.04 percent, which is quite low. These are only estimates and individual circumstances can make a difference. It is also important to note that there are a number of things that can cause the symptoms you have experienced. Of course, the only way to be sure is through testing. This article provides information on the various types of tests, including the window period for when a test is considered valid: https://h-i-v.net/test-types. Hope this information is helpful and that you can get answers soon. Best, Richard (Team Member)
