Transmission

Hello and sorry for my English in advance . Congratulations about your forum . I recently 45 days before had a possible hiv encounter. I had sex with a shemale which showed me that’s she had negative hiv test but who knows . My role was both bottom and top always with condom . I’m worrried because she rimmed me and and I have anal fissure which at the time had blood . So she licked my anus with my possible blood there .

~ 5 days after I had sore throat
~16 days after sore throat remains but a small fever 37,5 too started for about 3 days and some body fatigue not very exhausted
~21 days swollen nodes in groin area for 3 days
~42 days after 2 swollen nodes in neck area

I have test all the tests 4 days after the exposure came back negative .

Do you think I’m in danger , I would love ti see an answer in very scared .

She told me she is married and I don’t have to worry about it

  1. Hi . I can see that you are very concerned and it is good that you are seeking information. I need to let you know that we are not medical professionals and, for your safety, cannot provide medical advice on your status over the internet. That said, I do want to share this article from our editorial team on transmission risks: https://h-i-v.net/transmission-risks. In addition, you mentioned using a condom and this article discusses the difference in risk that a condom provides: https://h-i-v.net/risk-reduction. I also want to note that this article discusses transmission, including the fact that contact with saliva cannot lead to HIV transmission: https://h-i-v.net/life-cycle.

You mentioned that you were tested four days after the potential exposure. I don't know if your medical provider mentioned the testing window, but as noted in this article on types of tests, every test has a minimum number of days that must pass before they can effectively test for HIV: https://h-i-v.net/test-types. The only way to accurately assess status is testing within the window period. Hope this information is helpful. Best, Richard (Team Member)
