Welcome to H-I-V.net Stories!

At H-I-V.net, we believe that we are stronger together than we are alone. Living with HIV can be a challenge, but the more we share and support one another, the better off we will be. Whether it’s your own story of how you manage HIV as well as manage complications, to tips on daily living, we want to hear from you!

So please submit your own personal story about HIV here, and check back often to read about the stories others in the community share. We hope these stories become a source of inspiration and support for our community.

You will need to log in or register to be able to submit your story. Please be sure to read our story submission guidelines.

We all have a common goal here and it is to live a healthy, long normal life. We all have different stories, share it, someone needs to hear it. Listen if you are surviving you have an opportunity to make good with this illness. Take charge of your life, health and forget the negative noise of others that have no idea what its like to survive an illness and even thrive at life once diagnosed. You got this, you can do it. I support you and I am rooting for us all to succeed.

Alafia (Peace) I know just how much having a community to share and receive support can improve our overall health outcomes. Being able to speak our truth in a safe space allows us to grow and advocate for ourselves. Everyone’s story is important and everyone has a story to tell.

Alafia (Peace) I am excited about what this new online HIV community will do to bridge the gaps of shame and isolation which many living with HIV experience. I know all to well where a mind can go when isolated by a health condition. Health Union has created a unique platform for all of us to share our stories and support each other.

I’m excited too! I will be telling the patients here where I work about it. I’m hoping they use it b/c so many of them have not disclosed to a family member or friend. Suffering in silence and that shouldn’t be. Thanks for your advocacy, books and reaching out to others to include them in your journey. You Rock!!
