Risk for hiv?

Hi,

Recently I went to an erotic massage parlor.
The woman in the massage parlor gave me a blowjob and I had an orgasm in her mouth.
Then I opened my mouth and she did put my semen from her mouth into my mouth.
Is this a risk for hiv?

  1. Hi . I can tell by the fact that you came here that you are concerned. I need to note that we are not medical professionals and, for your protection, cannot give medical advice. I can share with you this article from our editorial team different HIV transmission risks: https://h-i-v.net/transmission-risks. You will note that the risk from receptive oral sex is quite low. In addition, as note in this article on how HIV is transmitted (https://h-i-v.net/transmission), it cannot be transmitted through saliva. Of course, the only way to be sure is through HIV testing and this article discusses the types of tests, with information on their window period for becoming effective: https://h-i-v.net/test-types. Hope this information is helpful. Best, Richard (Team Member)

  2. Hi Again . I just remembered that, if it has been less than 72 hours since your encounter, you may also be eligible for what it know as PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis). It can prevent someone who may have been exposed to HIV from contracting the virus (see this article for more information: https://h-i-v.net/prophylaxis). You would need to speak to a medical provider for more information and to determine eligibility. Best, Richard (Team Member)
