What gave you the courage to live positively?

After your diagnosis, what gave you the courage to keep living positively?

  1. What gave me courage was the fact that I had a young son and I was also pregnant with my second child, so when I went for antenatal for the 2nd pregnancy,I was tested. Apparently,I didn't get tested for HIV for the first pregnancy. To cut he long story short, my kids were tested and they all turned negative! That was a big relief! I found reason to start living again. Even though I lost my marriage, I still have a reason to keep going stronger for myself and my kids😍

    1. Hi . Thanks for sharing your story. I thought of this article from Ze about being a woman with HIV: https://h-i-v.net/living/womans-experience. What struck me about her article and what you posted is how much power there is in getting educated about HIV and realizing you can still live the life you want. Wishing you the best. 2. Just finished reading the article. I can relate. Very informative.Thank you👍

What I did personally after I had accepted to live with HIV is that I went to study a bit about HIV. I did short courses in counselling,HIV testing, adherence, care etc just to get to understand what was living in me.
    This helped me a lot😊
