Hepatitis B vaccination in people living with HIV: Is a double dose required, or is one dose enough?
If you mean Engerix-B 20 µg specifically: for adults with HIV, current NIH HIV guidelines recommend 40 µg per vaccination (two 20-µg injections at the same visit), given at 0, 1, and 6 months, when Heplisav-B is unavailable.

So one 20-µg injection is not the recommended “double-dose” regimen for an HIV-positive adult.
If you already received one 20-µg Engerix-B injection as your first dose, don't simply take another injection on your own. A clinician/pharmacist should determine how to complete the series; vaccination doses generally don't need to be restarted because of a dosing/interval issue.
