Patient Experiences with Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide: Insights on Indian Generic Versions

Hello Everyone,
I would like to hear about your experiences with bictegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir alafenamide. Also, if you have purchased the Indian generic version of this medication, please share whether you have had good results with it. Your feedback will be very helpful

  1. Hello , I hope some of our community members can connect with you. Unfortunately I don't have any helpful information to add, but hopefully someone can share their experience with you. Are you currently on this treatment?

I think my coworker, Richard, shared a link to one of our community member's experience with Biktarvy in a previous post of yours, but I did want to share a couple more who have mentioned this treatment as well, https://h-i-v.net/stories/my-hiv-tale. Another member asked about Biktarvy and bloating, https://h-i-v.net/forums/biktarvy-bloating. Finally, this member asked about various potential side effects in this discussion, https://h-i-v.net/forums/bicktary-joint-muscle-and-tendon-pain.

Hopefully you can get some helpful feedback. Wishing you a gentle day. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

  2. Many patients taking the combination of Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide report good viral suppression, convenient once-daily dosing, and fewer side effects compared with older HIV treatments. Indian generic versions are often appreciated for their affordability while maintaining effectiveness when sourced from reputable manufacturers. Individual experiences can vary, so regular follow-up with an HIV specialist and consistent medication adherence are essential for the best outcomes

    1. Hi . I do need to note that it is important to be aware that it is generally not legal to import or use drugs that have not been approved by the F.D.A in the U.S. (see here for more information: https://www.help.cbp.gov/s/article/Article-1815?language=en_US). Hopefully others will chime in about the combination of medications. Best, Richard (Team Member)
